Member silver hermit Posted March 18, 2010 Member Share Posted March 18, 2010 i'm not that heavy into the japanese stuff but this is one thing that seems to be popular in that genre. even in anime fan subs is huge and has been for many years. HK cinema fans seem to be getting into it too but not to the extent and volume japanese cinema does. i have heard of canibal king and kurotokagi.com and there stuff is pretty good for the most part. are there anymore groups or people that i should look out for? Member odioustrident Posted March 18, 2010 Member Share Posted March 18, 2010 This guy has subbed the first season of the Japanese TV series Sukeban Deka. More might have been done in the meantime. http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/viewtopic_36477.htm Here are action some clips from the show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWl3RV78CfA&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-NMuaR0WIc&feature=related Giant Baba!?!? Maybe not but who knows! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeTr2ZyXFCM&feature=related I think this qualifies as Japanese martial arts entertainment. Love that everyone has a badass gimmick! Member wigsplitta Posted March 20, 2010 Member Share Posted March 20, 2010 There's a few people here that would like to see some cool Japanese stuff subbed: http://kungfucinema.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9745 There are some really great films that have been released, and some tha haven't been released too, that could really do with having some subtitles. Just a shame that a large amounrt of japanese releases don't get subtitled. I know that Toei haven't subtitled any the films that I've bought form them, and I believe that a lot of other companies don't either. There are plenty of people out there who have the willing and skillz to subtitle, it's just getting the translations in the first place. Damn, I wish I could speak Japanese....but then again...I wouldn't need the English subs!!! Ha ha ha! Hopefully over time we will see some old clssics surfacing with subtitles
