Member vengeanceofhumanlanterns Posted February 23, 2010 Member Share Posted February 23, 2010 Just watched this flick again since a few years ago and I remembered the film picks up with abit more serious tone after Chen Kuan Tai receives his tattoos. But still then, this film with all the talented actors cast, never quite starts taking itself serious enough to reach its full potenetial. It could have been a classic film, but instead comes of as a lighthearted spoof on a kungfu film. There are a very few decent fight scenes. james Tien (the lead villian/i think that's him) is not utilized at all. It seems cut as well. Too bad. chen Kuan Tai fans might want to pick it up just to have it in their collection. Also, the monk in the tavern scene and when he meets Chen Kuan Tai starts 'trying' to save the film. There are some 'somewhat' cool scenes there. Anyone know of possibly more complete versions than the Red Sun version?
