Member ching li Posted February 17, 2010 Member Share Posted February 17, 2010 who never appeared in a lau kar leung directed film would you like to have seen? I think I would have loved to see Yueh hua, Derek Yee, and Ching li in a lau kar leung film. It definitely would have been a change of pace and would have given lau some different to work with than the usuals.
Member Gaijin84 Posted February 17, 2010 Member Share Posted February 17, 2010 Lo Meng - I heard he had something like 12-14 years of Mantis training under his belt when he was doing films. I would have loved to see him in some intricate Lau Kar Leung choreography.

Just imagine seeing him perform that quad-punch; you know the one I'm talking about.
Member ching li Posted February 18, 2010 Author Member Share Posted February 18, 2010 I wonder how lau kar leung let lo mang fly under his radar? By the time lau really got going as a director which was in the 80s, lo mang wasn't appearing much with the kuo chui, chiang sheng, and lu feng or chang cheh for that matter. He managed to get Sun chien a couple of times, but no lo mang? hmmm.........
Member Cognoscente Posted July 13, 2021 Member Share Posted July 13, 2021 Ivy Ling Po showed potential in Duel for Gold, The 14 Amazons and Flight Man. Ironically, she acted in five '60s movies which Lau had also appeared in. She had so much exposure in magazines that it's inconceivable that she would have eluded his attention.
Member Cognoscente Posted August 1, 2021 Member Share Posted August 1, 2021 Joseph Kuo was another classic Kung Fu director who didn't get the chance to work with Ivy during his golden era. He directed her in a 1971 Shaw movie (The Mighty One) before he came into his own. Ten years earlier, he directed her in Dragon Palace of Pu Island. When Ivy left the Shaws in the mid-seventies, she could have worked for him again but it didn't come to pass.
