Etsuko 'Sue' Shihomi TV Series - Edo Dragnet - Omitsu Doshin Oedo Sosamo

Has anyone seen any of these episodes and have an idea of the duration of the series and how much Shihomi appears in them?

The first installment has been released for a while now. I've been waiting for a second disc to be released before getting any, but I don't see anything on the horizon.

If anyone's seen any of the episodes, please feel free to comment on them.

According to the Japanese TV drama database www.tvdrama-db.com she was in 37 episodes from October 1976 to September 1977. The show itself had over 600 episodes (1970-1984).

I caught the 2nd episode last night - this one, whilst just as enjoyable as the first, focused more on the other female agent.

They really do fit a lot into a 45 min. episode and the action is, as you'd expect, very well done - Shihomi-San is a real badass in this!!

I agree that it's a really good show, especially the year Shihomi was on. The great Toshiro Mifune even appears in one of the episodes (to mark the 300th episode if memory serves me right). Shihomi was actually in 38 episodes by the way.

And if you want more episodes subtitled (as I do), then you should buy them and and tell your friends to buy them from http://www.kurotokagi.com/ They're the ones who paid a translator for the subs and actually did the subtitling job on it.

As far as KIKAIDA 01 goes, Shihomi appeared in episodes 30-46 (not sure if she's in every episode in that span or not).

No problem. I don't know anything about "Stuff You Wanted - The Samurai DVD Store". I just know that kurotokagi.com and samuraidvd.com do a lot of custom subtitles themselves and for TV series especially our best bet at convincing them that it's worth paying a translator for more episode scripts is to buy these from the source (even if it's a few bucks more). Because ultimately we want the money in the hands of the people in the position of getting more episodes subtitled. Otherwise we're just shooting ourselves in the foot.

So far only the first 2 episodes are available with subtitles. Hopefully that'll change though, 'cause Shihomi looks and fights great in it.

Just watched the first 2 episodes of Edo Dragnet last night. Action from the offset! Action throughout. Really really enjoyed them both. ingers crossed that more episodes get released.

Kikaida 01 looks pretty damn cool as well.
