Yes it was released in 1976 box ofice HK1.29 million . Private eyes was the top grossing film that year about 8 million, so it was an ok response I guess.

there even was a Cantonese Dub of it released in HK on VHS (Full uncut! and subbed - but Fullscreen)

i rate this film, but it also was a very unintentional funny flick.

...If it could have had those production values, it might have been what the fans deserved to see.

The story, the way it was handled, was not that shabby;compared to other productions made. Even the actors who participated, some were colleagues and friends of Lee's, and that lent an authentic feel to it.
