Member shukocarl Posted February 4, 2010 Member Share Posted February 4, 2010 Does anyone know if this played in Hong Kong and what the reaction by the public / box office was? Thanks!
Member shapes Posted February 4, 2010 Member Share Posted February 4, 2010 Yes it was released in 1976 box ofice HK1.29 million . Private eyes was the top grossing film that year about 8 million, so it was an ok response I guess.

Member sifu iron perm Posted February 21, 2010 Member Share Posted February 21, 2010 i rate this film, but it also was a very unintentional funny flick. " you dirty little bleeder..nasty piece of work" lol
Member The Dragon Posted February 21, 2010 Member Share Posted February 21, 2010 ...If it could have had those production values, it might have been what the fans deserved to see. The story, the way it was handled, was not that shabby;compared to other productions made. Even the actors who participated, some were colleagues and friends of Lee's, and that lent an authentic feel to it.
Guest Markgway
Seemed to me less like a true biopic than a series of loosely connected fights.
