:tongue: I thought Bangkok Adrenaline was great fun, one of my favourite movies of last year!:tongue:

Along with Broken Path & Merantau.

I'll agree with you on "Broken Path" and "Merantau" but I honestly couldn't tolerate the acting in "Bangkok Adrenaline." I literally had to turn it off out of frustration.

Well it's nice to have good acting and a good story but really it's the action that's the main attraction, In that Bangkok Adrenaline really excelled. It also helped that the humour worked, helping me look past any story or acting shortcomings. I can't believe Daniel O'Neill hasn't made any more movies after a superb performance. It's a crazy world.

Ong Bak 2 --- action wise this is a true masterpiece of MA cinema. Period! I don't see the action being topped for a long time. Loved every minute of it.

Fearless --- Good if not a bit overrated.

Chocolate --- A bit silly at times but that girl is the best female fighter since Moon Lee.

Ip Man --- A great story and action... I just have a problem with Donnie Yen in general. Find him annoying for some reason.

Unleashed --- I prefer this brutal Jet Li to the "Fearless" one.

I can't be assed putting these in order but my top ten would probably contain the following:

SPL

Ip Man

Verses

Ong Bak

House of flying daggers

Kung Fu Hustle

Fearless

Seven swords

Azumi

Kill Bill Vols 1&2

Some other splendid ones worth a mention:

Bodyguards and assassins, The White Dragon(Wilson Yip directed this period rom com swordplay movie before he did SPL), Fatal move (underrated in my opinion), Shanghai knights(critically panned but I like it), Anna in kung fu land, Shaolin, rob-b-hood, Drunken monkey, Zatoichi.

And ones to avoid:

Ip man 2(cringeworthy anti-western theme), legend of the fist(utter garbage), house of fury, the avanging fist, the Twins efect 2 (oh dear!)

Technically it is 2010 (same with Ip Man 2) so it does not count for this thread :). I'm a fan of it as well and might make my 10's top 10 list.
