Member TibetanWhiteCrane Posted December 21, 2009 Member Share Posted December 21, 2009 I would say that outside of those, and the films of the three directors you mentioned, I find the Shaw movies pretty uninteresting! Most of it is, to me at least, stiff, stagy and generic. But then again, im not much of a wuxia or horror fan. So maybe there are some good movies in those genres, that I can't speak on! Member GoldenPigsy Posted December 22, 2009 Member Share Posted December 22, 2009 The following: The Fastest Sword -- Pan Lei is underrated and this is a great early wuxia film. Shaolin Intruders -- Great choreography The Mighty One -- Joseph Kuo's Shaw Bros. movie. Clan Feuds -- like Chu Yuan, but not as good, but still fun. Tiger Killer -- Li Han Hsiang's take on Wu Song, Lotus Pan, and Ximen Cheng. Not really kung fu, but a great movie with some good martial arts scenes. A Deadly Secret -- T. F. Mous' kung fu movie which is fairly standard except for all the sadism. Just about anything from Sun Chung is worth watching too.
Member BlackLamaFaction Posted December 22, 2009 Member Share Posted December 22, 2009 The Assassin (Jimmy Wang Yu) Supreme Swordsman Have Sword Will Travel Deadly Duo Abbot of Shaolin Gang Master Magic Blade The Web of Death I prefer the independents to the Shaw films overall, but I find all of these films here to be fantastic. I tried not to list any already mentioned, then again you probably have seen these as well, but if you haven't you won't be sorry.

Member Iron Boat Posted December 23, 2009 Member Share Posted December 23, 2009 Tiger Killer is good but it could of benifitted from some actual Kung Fu, it is a drama but it takes place in a complete Shaw Bros martial world.
