Guest Markgway
These should be the Korean translations for the names you're after... Fang Hsiu Yi = Bang Su Il Chao Ying Chun = Jo Young Jun Tsao Yi = Jo Il
Guest Markgway
I don't think these actors have been in other HK co-productions so you might have a harder time tracking them... unless you know Korean films.
Member Bruce Long Posted March 25, 2007 Member Share Posted March 25, 2007 This is Bang Su-Il. He was one of the good guys in Tiger of Northland. He was also in the Bobby Kim films Interpol (Deadly Roulette) and Deadly Kick.
Guest luckystars
Thanks Here he is on the hkmdb: hkmdb.com/db/people/view.mhtml?id=32167&display_set=eng And here's his name in the Spiritual Kung Fu credits (first on left): Going by the cast photos on this page, is this Bang Su-Il/Fang Hsiu-Yi? Is that your site Bruce?
Member Bruce Long Posted March 26, 2007 Member Share Posted March 26, 2007 Yes, that's Bang Su-Il in Spiritual Kung Fu, thanks. (And yes, that's my site.) The image you linked will not load here, though, because Angelfire blocks secondary links to its web images.
Guest luckystars
Ok one last question. Do you think Park Jong-Kuk and Tong Yuen-Hon could be the same person? Park has no credit but is lead of the film, whereas Tong Yuen-Hon has second billing (to Maria Yi) but is an unknown actor.
Member Bruce Long Posted March 26, 2007 Member Share Posted March 26, 2007 They are probably the same person, but some of the other Koreans who have major roles are also uncredited in the cast list, so confirmation would be needed.
Guest luckystars
Of course. Thanks
Guest Markgway
Do you think Park Jong-Kuk and Tong Yuen-Hon could be the same person? Why would he have two totally different names though? They're not even slightly similar. Usually the Chinese name is a translation of the Korean one. I must admit I hate when they leave credits out.
