One version features an extra scene where Jason and Kelly go up to the top of the Space Needle but this version also deletes a few of the other scenes. One version of this movie is 85 minutes (Pal) and the uncut version is 95 minutes (Pal), but missing the Space Needle scene. The score is also different between the versions. So which edit of "No retreat no surrender" dvd releases are the best? I've read that the old German dvd had a shorter edit and no English audio. Australian -release includes most trailers though. Picture and sound quality are bad on all releases. Does anyone have this German "uncut" dvd? is it the longest edit fully uncut version and does it have a better picture and sound quality? Member AlbertV Posted July 25, 2009 Member Share Posted July 25, 2009 When New World released the US cut in 1986, they included the Space Needle scene and Ian's confrontation in the school with the syndicate. When R&G/Starmaker re-released the film on VHS, the confrontation scene was cut from the film.
