Member kungfusamurai Posted July 18, 2009 Member Share Posted July 18, 2009 Is that Tetsuro Tamba at the beginning of the trailer? It looks like him, but he died 3 years ago. When was this film made? KFS
Member ToothbrushFu Posted July 23, 2009 Member Share Posted July 23, 2009 It isn't Tetsuro Tamba, the film was made last year. I watched this tonight, it was very entertaining. Sort of an old-fashioned action adventure type movie with some superhero touches. Takeshi Kaneshiro plays a circus acrobat who is framed for being the famous criminal K-20 in an alternate history 1940s Japan where WWII never happened. He learns the villain's tricks of disguises and the ancient Japanese art of, err... parkour, and sets out to defeat him. Nice production design, sfx and action, and although the film is probably slightly too long it never gets dull.
