Member teako170 Posted June 20, 2009 Member Share Posted June 20, 2009 Watched this one earlier in the week. Wasn't bad. Nothing spectacular but rather enjoyable Action/Triad flick. Chan Wai Man only had one good fight scene but Kara Hui's fight was noteworthy. She kicked some serious tail but took the worst of it. Of course it was good to see the late Sek Kin as the "godfather" figure. Again, as I mentioned about Angry Ranger, I wished Johnny would've pulled a "cameo." Comments on this...? Member Mike Leeder Posted June 21, 2009 Member Share Posted June 21, 2009 i really like 'Widow Warriors'...a nice HK take on Linda LaPlante's 'Widows' Michiko in fine form, Tien niu from 'Lackey 7 the Lady Tiger' revealing her Triad tattoo's and making her daughter realise there is more to her than meets the eye agree Johnny should have made a cameo
Member silver hermit Posted June 21, 2009 Member Share Posted June 21, 2009 i really enjoyed this one 3.8 out of 5. perhaps a bit more action would have pushed it close to the 5 star range but i was in no way dissatisfied
Member Knetan Posted June 21, 2009 Member Share Posted June 21, 2009 hey, yea, fairly memorable. It's got the gym fight between Kara Hui and Michiko Nishiwaki and brutal violence that has to come with a Johnny Wang picture. Tien Niu is also watchable as one of the feisty widow warriors. Member MLee Posted June 21, 2009 Member Share Posted June 21, 2009 I really liked this movie. Story, characters and the action scenes were very good! And I've always had a soft spot for Elizabeth Lee!
