Member Winfred Posted May 23, 2009 Member Share Posted May 23, 2009 I must say I enjoyed Alan Tang & Candice Yu On-on's Impetuous Fire despite the worn print served by Hoker. The film was directed by John Lo Ma who also directed Alan Tang & baby queen Li Ching in The Chase which must be the rarest Chinese movie ever made. John owns the rights to it and won't release it in any form after its theatrical screening which is sad.
Member Stanley Posted May 23, 2009 Member Share Posted May 23, 2009 This reminds me of another good director Lung Kang. His movies, already so few, are not availble in dvds, wonder why.
Member Winfred Posted May 23, 2009 Author Member Share Posted May 23, 2009 Lung Kang......is he the director who coaxed an award-winning performance out of Tina Chin Fei in Call Girls?
Member hkpyanfar Posted May 23, 2009 Member Share Posted May 23, 2009 Does Impetuous Fire have English subtitles? If so, I will look for it.
Member Winfred Posted May 23, 2009 Author Member Share Posted May 23, 2009 Yes, it has English subs. Be warned that the quality is like VHS.
Member hkpyanfar Posted May 23, 2009 Member Share Posted May 23, 2009 Having picked up my share of Ground Zero releases, I can live with the VHS quality if the movie is good and there is no alternative. Thanks!
