Member odioustrident Posted April 12, 2009 Member Share Posted April 12, 2009 As far as your traditional kung fu film, I know Young Vagabond came out as late as '85. Are there other films from that year, or later!!!, that had the feel of that earlier movement? The last oldschool wuxia is also a question. Journey of the Doomed comes to mind, but it plays out more like some swords and sorcery rock ballad than that philosophical epic we know and love. Sad topic for some I know, but what other latecomers to the genre were there?

Member ironfistedmonk Posted April 13, 2009 Member Share Posted April 13, 2009 I'd agree with Mark, I can't think of many old schoolers made later than that. Zen Master 6 came out in 87 I think and has some decent action, but MAOS would be the last "classic"
