Guest David G Rees
Had a quick look at the two new releases from HKL of these two Jackie / Lo Wei films. Both are excellent quality anamorphic remastered transfers although both show bad signs of negative damage, especially Spiritual Kung Fu.Probably the same master as used on the Korean dvd release. Dragon Fist has subdued colours but Spiritual Kung Fu has a bold bright colour scheme its certainly the best ive ever seen it. Sound is the 5.1 Cantonese and English (original dubs) a Cantonese 2.0 on Dragon Fist only, not sure if its a downmix. The 5.1 on both titles is annoying but not too bad certainly not as bad as say there Warriors Two disc. No extra's as per usual on recent HKL titles apart from original trailer and short restoration before and after on Spiritual Kung Fu. Running times are 95 minutes Spiritual Kung Fu and 93 Minutes Dragon Fist (PAL), im sure i read there was longer version of Dragon Fist released than this. Overall ok releases and certainly the best quality so far available. www.asiancultcinema.co.uk

Member andy338 Posted June 3, 2007 Member Share Posted June 3, 2007 Are Dragon Fist & Spiritual KF the last of HKLs lo wei movies to be released ie they're not releasing the diabolical Fearless Hyena 2 are they? Hopefully they'll get back to releasing new stuff & whatever happened to DM & SITES platinums?
Guest Markgway
The last two currently scheduled... but they still have the rights to The Killer Meteors, To Kill With Intrigue and Half a Loaf of Kung Fu!
