E.g. Detective Conan is often a murder mystery, Sword of the Stranger is a chambara, Maison Ikkoku is a romance, Baoh is Sci-Fi/Horror, et cetera. The studio that made this later went on to make Evangelion, which is a much less solid production, despite being far more serious & psychological. Despite being a comedy, the action tends to be more fluid than actual action shows.
