Member yongpal Posted April 2, 2011 Member Share Posted April 2, 2011 Yongpal -- Any opinions on the Korean locations for Blooded Treasury Fight, The Black Enforcer or Bandits from Shantung? Do the posted caps/clips help? I think this scene was shot at Sareung - the royal tomb of queen Jeongsun. http://jikimi.cha.go.kr/english/royal_palaces_new/Sareung.jsp?mc=EN_05_02_04 http://www.sisabuddha.kr/news/service/article/mess_05.asp?P_Index=1495&flag= Sorry, Mark, I have not seen "Blooded Treasury Fight" & "The Black Enforcer" yet, so I don't know Korean locations for these films. Guest Markgway
Excellent find. It's good to sort out the genuine from the fake. I know most fans don't care... but I like the idea of giving recognition to Korean co-productions. If we don't do it... who will? Speaking of fakes... I skimmed through 'The Angry Guest' again and couldn't find anything that suggested Korea. In fact I'd forgotten just how much Japanese location footage was shot (the rest having been filmed at Shaw Studios in HK). If this was a Japanese co-production (unlikely) I couldn't find any substantive evidence. Let's chalk this one up to pure Hong Kong product. Member yongpal Posted April 3, 2011 Member Share Posted April 3, 2011 Chang Cheh hands Kurata Yasuaki the message written in Japanese. But Japanese culture was being prohibited in Korea in 1970s, so the Japanese message was replaced with Korean. "The Angry Guest" was shown like a co-production of An-Yang Films and Shaw Brothers, but SB wasn't announcing it formally, so I'm convinced it's a fake co-production film. Also Kurata Yasuaki contracted with SB and he appeared on AG, but I'm convinced that isn't a co-production of Japan and Hong Kong.

I think it's just coincidence that a few Korean actors (and one Japanese) turned up in this film.

Guest Markgway
Due to the nature of the film these Koreans may be adult video stars? Mostly they're just shagging... End Credits: Cast List 1. Lily Lee (Hong Kong) 2. Wong Kin-Lung (Hong Kong) 3. Rena Kawashima (Japan) 4. Choi Geum-Hee (Korea) 5. 趙一丹 (not sure if this person is Korean or Chinese or Japanese) 6. Kim Jung-Il (Korea) 7. Guo Ke-Qi (China) 8. Cheung Leung-On (Hong Kong) Some of this is pure guesswork...
