It's good to sort out the genuine from the fake.

I know most fans don't care... but I like the idea of giving recognition to Korean co-productions.

I skimmed through 'The Angry Guest' again and couldn't find anything that suggested Korea.

In fact I'd forgotten just how much Japanese location footage was shot (the rest having been filmed at Shaw Studios in HK).

If this was a Japanese co-production (unlikely) I couldn't find any substantive evidence.

Let's chalk this one up to pure Hong Kong product.

"The Angry Guest" was shown like a co-production of An-Yang Films and Shaw Brothers, but SB wasn't announcing it formally, so I'm convinced it's a fake co-production film. Also Kurata Yasuaki contracted with SB and he appeared on AG, but I'm convinced that isn't a co-production of Japan and Hong Kong.

I think it's just coincidence that a few Korean actors (and one Japanese) turned up in this film.
