Guest Markgway
Two questions; 1. Who is this actress? (She plays "Kuan Yin") 2. Is Cheng Pei-Pei in this movie at all? I see her name listed in most online credits but I never spotted her. Thx.
Moderator Asmo Posted February 24, 2009 Moderator Share Posted February 24, 2009 HKMDB says Tina Chin Fei is "Kuan Yin", but that's all I have to go off of.
Guest Markgway
HKMDB says Tina Chin Fei is "Kuan Yin", but that's all I have to go off of. Tina Chin is one of the three snake sisters. The HKMDB doesn't credit her in the cast list but alongside the photo of "Kuan Yin" is a tiny credit for Shaw actress Chao Hsin-Yen. Does look like her but can find no other confirmation since she appears unbilled. I don't believe Cheng Pei-Pei or Ku Feng are in the movie either but the HKMDB credits them. Member Gaijin84 Posted February 24, 2009 Member Share Posted February 24, 2009 The Cheng Pei-pei credit is a bit strange... are their fairies in the film?
Guest Markgway
The Cheng Pei-pei credit is a bit strange... are their fairies in the film? None that I saw. Unless there's one hovering in the background somewhere?
Member Gaijin84 Posted February 24, 2009 Member Share Posted February 24, 2009 I'll take a look again, but I'd tend to agree that she's not in the film... is there some interview or article somewhere that claimed she was? Checking for Ku Feng as well...
Guest Markgway
Nope. Just various websites.
Member Gaijin84 Posted February 25, 2009 Member Share Posted February 25, 2009 I believe I found Ku Feng. He's the character that throws out the caravan of beggars at bride's father's (Lee Ying) house ~38 min in. Here are a few pics... does look like Ku Feng to me
Guest Markgway
Looks like him. Well done. I've seen him as an extra in some films but missed him here. Found Miss Cheng yet?
Member Gaijin84 Posted February 26, 2009 Member Share Posted February 26, 2009 No luck on Cheng - I think it's a losing battle...
Guest Markgway
Perhaps she was in one of the other "Monkey" films and was credited to "Goes West" by mistake?
Member HAZ Posted February 27, 2009 Member Share Posted February 27, 2009 I thought she was in Princess Iron Fan.
Guest Markgway
Someone at the HKMDB has probably just made a mistake then.
