For those who have seen Twlight, you can expect Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart to reprise their roles of Edward and Bella. Taylor Lautner fought hard but he is coming back as Jacob Black. This time, Lautner gained 30 pounds of muscle as it looks like we're going to see Jacob in wolf form. There was spec that Lautner would not reprise the role and it was rumored these one of the following would replace him: -Michael Copon (Power Rangers: Time Force, The Scorpion King 2) -Steven Strait (10,000BC, The Covenant, Sky High) -Ben Barnes (Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian) However, Lautner proved his mettle and officially signed last week to return as Jacob. Catherine Hardwicke is NOT returning to helm New Moon, due to apparently "creative differences" with the execs at Summit Entertainment. Chris Weitz, who directed AMERICAN PIE and THE GOLDEN COMPASS, has been chosen to be New Moon's director. It was announced that HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL star Vanessa Hudgens has auditioned for the role of Leah Clearwater, Jacob's brokenhearted and feisty frienemy...yes, she is a werewolf too. But it is unknown if she got the role. Who knows? This could be a welcome break from the HSM type role for her. NEW MOON is scheduled for release this November.
