Thanks to this thread I'm catching up on some classic Shaw's. Just watched Clan of the White Lotus, Avenging Eagle, Killer Constable, all great picks.

Next on the list: Blood Brothers, Rebel Intruders, Flag of Iron, Shaolin Temple.

Well okay maybe I shouldn't say I hate it but if there ever was a film that was hyped up to be so great its LWOC, even now people talk about it like its the greatest thing ever. This film was totally not what I hoped it would be. Gordon Liu only fought a few times, nothing serious, Fu Sheng's acting and movements seemed strange, way too much Hsaio Hou, who I am not a fan of, the whole girl dress as a guy but looks nothing like a guy thing again, and though I respect LKL as a sifu, I don't particularly care for his on screen kung fu, he's too deliberate. Also, I've found that he casts himself in too many films and even when the story is about someone else "My Young Auntie" he takes over anyway and makes it about him.

When there is not fighting it`s definitely one of most yawning Shaws of over 200 I have seen. And of KF,have seen lot better.Likely most overhyped kf movie ever made.

Crimson Charm is an awesome film. Re-visited twice in one week a few months back. One of my favorite Ivy Ling Po roles. The Golden Knight was a very good film from what I remember as well.

I thought I would boost this thread so that green fan can update and I'm deliberately not including my top 10 since I've only seen about 20 Shaw Bros movies so far and shouldn't count towards this ranking list of green fan. well not yet anyway!

Well, it's under half:smile:

Lol, yeah that's something at least :squigglemouth:

Yours is more interesting. Lady Assassin should be in more people's Top 10, me thinks. May have to watch it again and reconsider....

This is so tough because I'd put in so many Chor Yuen that it wouldn't be a fair representation of what I like (which is: Fu Sheng, Venoms, Chor Yuen actors, Ti Lungf & many supporting actors of the mid '70's until the end....).
