Member Ajaxforever Posted November 13, 2008 Member Share Posted November 13, 2008 I´m wondering is the mei ah version of Secret Rivals 2 any good? Let me know what you all think!!
Member Yang Wu Liang Posted November 13, 2008 Member Share Posted November 13, 2008 It's not very good really but at least it's got the mandarin soundtrack (as far as I remember) and is widescreen. The burnt in subs can be hard to read and the picture ain't exactly glass. Having said that it cost me about £1.50 so no complaints really although there are undoubtedly better version around. Member chen lung Posted November 14, 2008 Member Share Posted November 14, 2008 Mei Ah (believe there is a DVD): Non-anamorphic (interlaced likely too) No extras Hard-to-read subtitles No English dub Soulblade: 2:35:1 anamorphic (progressive too) Original English dub Mandarin with remastered English subtitles Deleted Scene Alternative Openings Export Trailer Many Photo Galleries Sure, it would be cool if the picture was cleaned-up, but it's a marvellous disc. However, it's OOP so get it fast!
Member spannick Posted November 14, 2008 Member Share Posted November 14, 2008 the "Mei Ah" DVD was exclusively sold by hkflix i think. it was not released in HK itself from what i remember. the DVD was struck from the same Master as the VCD (same for part 1). Member spannick Posted November 14, 2008 Member Share Posted November 14, 2008 i doubt that. it was not mastered FROM the VCD, but from the same Master.

Guest Markgway
There's at least one version of SR2 that's missing about 6 mins of footage. So beware...
