Guest pressureworld
We have many new members on this board who aren't quite as hardcore and knowledgable as many of us after Jackie Sammo, Secret Rivals, Hot Cool Vicious, Invincible Armour then what? I would like to ask everyone to name their top 10 or even top 5 indi kungfu films that may of fell under the radar. Lets stay away from the really popular ones. Many of you have hundreds of kungfu films in other words, whats good besides the obvious for the newbies please no Shaws
Guest jmungus
tough one. do we assume lesser experienced kf fans already know about the back catalogue of genre legends like sammo, HJL or the yuen clan ? have they heard of "broken oath", "snuff bottle connection" or "buddhist fist", "eagles claw"... yet, or does it need something more obscure ? this list can never be complete or perfectly accurate, but here goes anyways. master and the kid leg fighters shaolin king boxer two great cavaliers heroes of the wild imperial sword deadly challenger the heroes death duel of kung fu demon strike ninja hunter rebellious reign exciting dragon mask of death shaolin kf mystagogue faster blade poisonous darts fist from shaolin (for a fun new wave experience) hells wind staff shaolin red master death games (to throw in some wicked modern ma) 7 steps of kf wu tang magic kick stranger from shaolin deadend of besiegers (old skool made in the new wave era) i would consider these kinda flix quite good - ace quality standard material for the slightly 'advanced' kung fu-natics, so maybe thats a nice way to start if one is past the jackie/sammo/YWP/SB classics stage, knows the essential indie gems like "invincible armour", "the loot", "7 grandmasters", "duel to the death" or "secret rivals" et al and wants to delve deeper into the indie fu extravaganza now. Guest VonHumboldtFleischer
Just about all those films you fellows listed are awesome... I thought 'nonpopular' meant films generally disliked within the fandom community, but which we happen to like personally. Like, say, STONER or FANTASY MISSION FORCE (both of which I enjoy enormously).

Guest Kwok Choi
Yes my friend "unpopular" threw us a bit but from your first post I gathered that it could be about good films that people might not be aware of.This depends because most of the films mentioned in the posts above could be very popular to some.Anyway the thing is that 100s could be listed according to your last post as one would have to comb all the genres and eras for proper justice to be done to your thread but since you asked for ten, here goes off head: Manda Vs Kung Fu aka Devil Woman Tiger Tiger Tiger The Fearless Duo Challenge Of The Tiger The Magnificent 3 Mission Kiss And Kill The Killer Wears White Smart Cavalier The Best Of Shaolin Kung Fu The Secret Of Chinese Kung Fu

Guest iron flag
Some favorites of mine (classics imo) that dont get enough mention are Imperial Sword, Strife for Mastery,The Heroes, and Hitman in the Hand of Buddha. All great flicks!!
Guest morgoth
I haven't seen Silver Spear and The HEroes, but Secret of Tai Chi kicks the sh!t out of all the other movies on that list. The only part I liked in Inheritor of Kung Fu is where John Ladaski shows up carrying that huge cross.

Guest W Hong
Snake and Crane Arts of Shaolin(Jackie Chan) Operation Scorpio Kick Boxer(Yuen Biao) Enter the Eagles(Shannon Lee) Legend of the Wolf Circus Kids The Deaf and Mute Heroine POSSIBLE SPOILERS BTW, do you think that "Kill Bill, Vol. 1" had a slight connection or salute to "The Deaf and Mute Heroine"? I'm asking because of those scenes where Uma uses her sword's reflection to look at the enemies who were behind her. Those scenes look similar to what Helen Ma did in "TDaMH". Also, did any of you ever get the chance to see the Chinese language version of "TDaMH"? I remember seeing it at SF's 4 Star Theatre, which seems to show TDaMH again every now and then. I remember seeing it at SF's 4 Star Theatre, which seems to show TDaMH again every now and then. I thought everyone had ONLY seen the Mandarin version. Is there an English dub around? I know there's a German dub. Pretty much all of the movies mentioned so far are just terrific. I'd just like to chip in with QUEEN BOXER for now. ...oh, and GREEN DRAGON INN.
