Member Mark Pollard Posted July 9, 2008 Member Share Posted July 9, 2008 xP1NVnLY_vU Remakes of sci-fi classics are becoming more common these days. Can't say I'm particularly impressed with the results so far on this one although I must admit to having a hard time ignoring a movie with Jennifer Connelly in it. Michael Crichton's THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN (1971) also was made into a TV movie this year and I have no intention of wasting my time with that one. Speaking of Crichton, WESTWORLD is due for a remake in '09.
Member venoms5 Posted July 9, 2008 Member Share Posted July 9, 2008 I heard about this one some time back and thought it was just a cruel joke. This is definitely one sci-fi film that doesn't need a redux...for any reason...good or bad. WESTWORLD already got a remake back in 1993 under the title JURASSIC PARK which, unlike WESTWORLD, as you know, was only written by Crichton. However, I wouldn't think much should they remake FUTUREWORLD though.
