Member Mark Pollard Posted June 8, 2008 Member Share Posted June 8, 2008 I'm looking to gather any information available on this film company. I'm wondering if it's an offshoot of Gar Bo Films, an earlier company created by Lau Kar-wing and Karl Maka. DIRTY KUNG FU (1978), starring Wong Yue, appears to be their first production. Through this company, Lau seems to have only produced a couple kung fu movies thereafter in between action direction gigs for both Golden Harvest and Shaw Brothers. AKA: L & B Film Co. 劉氏兄弟影業公司 Filmography: 1981 - Carry on Wise Guy (aka WARRIOR FROM SHAOLIN) 1980 - The Fool Escape 1979 - Fists and Guts 1978 - Dirty Kung Fu

The Story of Women (1982) Prod/Pres by The Lau Brothers & Ho Sau Ha Dirty Kung Fu (1978) Fist and Guts (1979) The Fool Escape (1980) Carry on Wise Guy (1981)

Member Endsang Posted June 9, 2008 Member Share Posted June 9, 2008 I think Lau Kar Wing mentions this in the interview on the HKL version of Odd Couple. You might find some info there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytm86i-FzXw
Member Mark Pollard Posted June 12, 2008 Author Member Share Posted June 12, 2008 I watched the whole interview and re-watched the interview he gave for Dragon Dynasty too. Great info there on his early career and working on both ODD COUPLE and KING BOXER.
