Guest VonHumboldtFleischer
Check out this clip from the lousiest dub-job ever, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3tQms4BYm6E.
Guest the golden dragon
Bruce was THE BEST HANDS DOWN. We can not even imagine if he had lived in that short priod of kung fu movie legend. What HE would have done. We can not imagine. Read Bolo's interview in Inside Kung Fu magazine. Bolo declares Bruce WAS the BEST he ever saw. On a recent post of some screen shots of Bruce in Enter The Dragon. Look at that BUILD. My G-d I never saw ANY kung fu movie star with a body like that.. GD :rollin
Guest stormybman
The One Armed Boxer has a classic English dubb... some tdbits: Lung Fei: I don't need to relax. I regard hardships as part of my training! and : "...grrrrrr!!!!!" The baddie in the opening sequence: "What are you doing at my table? ... Not so fast, stay awhile!" "That bird matches mine perfectly. Leave it, then, beat it!" "Who said anything about buying it? I intend to take it!" Then later after Lung Fei chops off Jimmy's arm, literally, with a Karate chop, the sifu says.." My God, he nearly killed him!!!" Man, every viewing, I laugh my A$$ off!!! :rollin "Whenever you're ready, I'll take on any Japanese here."
Guest VonHumboldtFleischer
There's a great dub of BUTCHER WING where Lee Hoi San is dubbed as a kind of cockney villain. At one point he pithily observes "We're up @#%$ creek without a paddle!" The best line, however, is when he sees one of his goons has been burned in a fight and says "Look at your face! It's as scabby as a monkey's arse!" Classic.
Guest natoral
Funny I never realized how many movies i've seen with the guy who adds 'r' on the end of things. Shaolin V Lama - "Congratulations on becoming a Lamar again" I like the Leg Fighters dub too.The girl does the perfect job of playing the spoiled brat wanting to learn kung-fu. "I'm just an old man you pick on me" "Too old...time to die"
Guest morgoth
Not old school, but I have to add in Last Hero of China. The voice acting for Alan Hsu is the best I have ever heard. "Wong Fei Hung, you really are a bad boy."

My favourite dub is the one for The Young Master. One of the things that I like about it is that no matter how much vocal range there is, no-one puts on a Chinese accent.
Member TibetanWhiteCrane Posted June 6, 2021 Member Share Posted June 6, 2021 King Boxer, One Armed Boxer, Five Venoms, Seven Grandmasters are the four that comes to mind that ALWAYS watch with the dub. Obviously also watched them in the original language, but only once a piece.

Member Cognoscente Posted June 7, 2021 Member Share Posted June 7, 2021 "You will be the death of me!" - I like Li Quin's running gag one-liner in the latter.
