Guest Markgway
Do these titles belong to the same film? According to the HKFA they do. 劍王子 (SOS - HK title) 劍王之王 (Taiwanese title - which is that of King of Kings) Also there seems to be a disagreement on the prod co. HKFA reckons a HK/TW co-production: 新華 (HK) The TWDB lists only 聯興 (a Taiwanese company) Do both logos/co names appear in the film?
Member vonhumboldtfleisher Posted June 2, 2008 Member Share Posted June 2, 2008 I've only got SON OF SWORDSMAN. There are no logos at the start of the Crash Masters DVD. Here's the title card and the one just before it.
Guest Markgway
Hmm... looks like SOS and KOK are two SEPERATE films! Made by the same filmmakers around the same time, lol. I guess the HKFA have made a mistake. They list SOS (a HK movie) but have no proper record of KOK (presumably Taiwanese). The TWDB recognises KOK. Thanks for the help. Member HAZ Posted June 2, 2008 Member Share Posted June 2, 2008 King of Kings was put out by Fusian. Son of Swordsman stars the same crew, but is a different movie & was put out by rarescope.
Guest Markgway
Yeah, seems that the HKFA got mixed up. One is (technically) a HK production (SOS), the other Taiwanese (KOK). The Chinese titles are similar too. I wonder are they at all related?

Member Morgoth Bauglir Posted June 3, 2008 Member Share Posted June 3, 2008 I don't think they're related Markgway. 2 totally different stories.
