I got an old VHS boot. From what I remember there are NO weapons. Except for a scene where the hero tries to swing a tree branch at Hwang Jang Lee (who easily whoops on him).

Not a bad movie though.

Yes the Vengeance Video DVD is a very dark print for some reason, I do like this flick though because Hwang gets to go around challenging people to fight and kicks their ass. I would like to find another version that doesn't have such a dark tint to it.

Wasn't this film also put onto VHS by Master Arts Video in one of those big ugly clamshells? Their prints were full screen, but at least they used actual film print sources and not earlier VHS releases by other companies.

Indeed it was. As well as other Korean films released by Filmark.
