It is, but I'm willing to bet that these subtitles are something that a fan possibly machine translated (or Google translated) to suit the EH print. I live in hope that we'll get a print like that some day. Just depends on what's out there.

yeah you're right… also Die Todesklaue des Tigers was already released on dvd in 2006.... so maybe it's an updated version.

My memory is not what it was ,i'll have to check but i'm pretty sure the german DVD of Dragon Lives i have utilsed kuenfists custom to make it uncut.

I kneel at the altar of Ho Chung Tao but if these are the same prints i'm really curious about who would shell out nearly 40 euros apiece for these. I bought one from the first wave and that was a title that hadn't had an earlier release in widescreen.

@kevenzz if you are referring to the release of THE VICTIM, then I feel the same way. Even if they used the same print from Eastern Heroes' DVD, but put it on Blu-ray I'd be more interested. But a $40 freakin' DVD? Um, no. Just no.

I haven't heard of any plans for LETHAL PANTHER 2, but who knows. Perhaps it will depend on how the LETHAL PANTHER release sells.

The guy who does their restoration work, Mirko, is a hardcore fan, and extremely meticulous and skilled at his work (and funny as can be too! 😁). Whenever he sends me side by side comparisons of before and after restoration clips I am always stunned. The work he did on SHAOLIN KUNG FU MASTER was especially impressive.

Yeah, it's a good day for fans of the "Girls With Guns" genre.

Wow, those are some fantastic looking screenshots. Did I mention how much I hate mediabooks though?  I will wait & see if maybe they will put out Lethal Panther 2  Blu-ray, buy some blank Blu-ray cases & make my own custom Blu-ray covers.

I had the Lethal Panther-Blu-ray in my mailbox today and I just checked the picture quality. It's surprisingly sharp but I feel like they meddled with the contrast a bit too much. The picture is so bright and clean it almost feels sterile and more like tv than movie. Nevertheless the film never looked better and I was also pleasantly suprised by how good the sound quality is.  I just checked the audio commentary and while it seems interesting Godfrey Ho is a bit hard to understand.

I hope more girls with guns-films by Ho will follow, I would certainly buy Angel Enforcers, Princess Madam, Angel Mission and even Deadly Target.

I watched Lethal Panther yesterday and I enjoyed it.... the picture quality is stunning.

the movie doesn't have much of a story but there is shitload of violence and sex that's for sure.

probably the best Godfrey Ho film I've seen so far...

At least for EU buyers DTM is around ~4€ cheaper in total amount. I lock order there when d&t manage to add "magnificent ruffians" into forthcoming section, don`t want to buy just 1 title with those shipping costs.

Hopefully Cover A does not get sold out during waiting....

I'm not into the GWG genre so won't be buying it but Lethal Panther looks like a solid release. I'd have give it a blind buy at 15 euros maybe but not at 40 euro - it needs to be a Bruce Le/Li classic for me t spend that amount 😏

i there was no "extensive Restoration" done by TVP on Lethal Panther. it looks the same as the HK TV HD Version, delivered by the licensor from Asia. sadly some annoying crushed blacks in dark scenes, making some stuff badly incomprehensible (beach shoot out before the finale). still, can be highly recommended on this Disc (except that the subtitles have a horrible font and are badly timed, nitpicking) as there very most likely won't ever be anything else in such quality.

Are you sure it's not your TV? I watched that part and it was totally watchable. I mean, no one expects those movies to look perfect either. The badly-timed subs are a staple of these releases at this point.

I didn't know a HK TV HD version of this movie existed!
