Okay, I only want to know if that version is watchable. What I mean is, first is it widescreen, and second are the subtitles readable. Also how is the image quality?

I've been waiting for a decent release for this one, but I've been waiting long enough and since there are no prospect of a release in the horizon, if it's relativily good copy, I think I'll grab it.

There's a nice widescreen subbed dvd floating around. I'll post caps later. I like it better than the VCD.

I had the VCD and its fine. full widescreen , readable subs, for the price worth getting.

The WA DVD release was pretty good apart from the very slight echoey sound, thats probably the one HAZ is referring to.

I would assume that the VCD is the only edition with the original Cantonese audio?

yup it is. or pick an old Ocean Shores VHS (1.33 of course) with Canto Audio (most likely there were 3 Releases again back then, With English, Mandarin and Cantonese to choose from; would have to look up the Catalog)
