Guest Chinatown Kid
I mentioned Dragon Sek on my list in my first post. He's got some pretty good kicks, I enjoyed him with John Liu in the film Trinity Goes East. Haven't seen many of his films though.

Guest killer meteor
As close as possible. Only a few of the films have an actual release date listed at the HKFA (day/month/year) so often we have to speculate

Guest Jesse Smooth
Isn't Enter the Panther AKA for Ming Patriots? BTW Just Got finished looking at My Name Called Bruce, a Korean Bruce Le movie...actually, it's not too bad a flick.
Guest Chinatown Kid
Jesse Enter the Panther is not the same film as Ming Patriots. I think Panther may have been Li's first starring role and was originally titled Conspiracy if I'm not mistaken. The plot is about 2 Nephews who kill their uncle to gain control of his gold mine. Guest rederror
Did the Bruce Lee clones like Bruce Li or Le etc make any non Bruce Lee type movies? i know the whole point was to be like Bruce but i was just wondering.
Guest monwobobbo
yes they pretty much all did. le, li and dragon lee were all labeled as bruce clones and so their films all get lumped into that catagory even if they don't have anything to do with bruce lee. MING PATRIOTS - bruce li NINJA OVER THE GREAT WALL - bruce le MARTIAL MONKS OF SHAOLIN TEMPLE -dragon lee
Guest stormybman
A lot of Ho Chung Tao's films got tabbed as Bruce Li fare even when the story had absolutely nada to do with Lee. Some of his better efforts... Chinese Stuntman Soul Brothers of Kung Fu Iron Dragon Strikes Back Revenge of the Patriots Bruce Li the invincible These films were all pretty decent with Ho starring. The other clones were pretty woeful, especially when they weren't in Lee-like roles... "Will you tell me what Teacher died of?"

Guest TambaChibaYama IchiFune
I really enjoyed Ming Patriots! I am sure u will like it Chinatown Kid! PM me if u dont have it and i will hook u up with it!!
Guest monwobobbo
although most bruce le films are pretty bad i personally really like most of dragon lee's flix. on the whole though i like most of the bruceploitation actors films. many are just good beat 'em up and pose like bruce fun. (thumbing nose at those who put them down) ok so they're not high art but they can be enjoyed none the less. they are also one of the sub genre types that i collect. (i know there are a couple more here that do as well)
Member Brigadier Chow Posted September 12, 2007 Member Share Posted September 12, 2007 Also Deadly Strike and Blind Fist of Bruce... Good ones that have nothing to do with Bruce Lee, that got lumped in that craze.
Guest rederror
Well i guess as they are seen to be Bruce Clones, and films they feature in, they are going to be compared with Bruce even if its not a Bruce rip-off anyway i guess. In my opinion Bruce Li was a fantastic martial artist. I wonder if there was no Bruce if these martial artists would have made it as kung fu stars themselves?
