KUNG FU BOB
Our prayers have been answered...

Only for those of us that prayed for a completely butchhered version... :squigglemouth:

Check out this link: http://www.kungfucinema.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11344

As I said in the other thread… "it was originally 50 episodes, around 45 minutes each. So they've cut 2,067 minutes (34 3/4 hours) from the series. Roughly 46 out of the 50 episodes are missing! Which really sucks." Good grief!

This REALLY is a shame. I remember when this series was being shown on cable, I caught a few episodes, but stopped watching as I was hoping to watch it from the beginning one day.

I see the TV rips, all 50 episodes are available for download online. I don't know if I could really sit through ALL these episodes, knowing that I got 100's of Kung Fu flix that I have yet to see!!

I was in NJ the other day and this guy who sells all Kung-Fu movies had this Bruce Lee movie already out. I still want to watch it so I might have to pick it up. I know WTF am I thinking right!

Unfortunately this is a very condensed 183 minutes version from the 50 episodes.

i`ve seen all 50 episodes and i can`t see 3 hours of it worth seeing, it really is that bad.

danny resembles bruce in his facial looks but that is where it ends.

the production values are that of a 70`s porn movie and in the early episodes involving the teacher and school members you keep expecting them to get it on.

bruce lee fans have got to watch this we can`t help ourselves

I picked up the 2 vol subbed set at the Pennsauken Flea Market in NJ on Sat 7/31 myself. Is that the dealer you meant?

kngfu: No I was in Jersey Gardens Mall and there is a Guy on the lower level who sells all Asian M.A. movies. But I rarely buy from him unless its something that I cannot find, only because he is a little to expensive for my taste $20.00 a movie when I can go on eBay and buy from certain sellers who I have been using for a while and I get the movies for $10.00 + free s/h.

In Pennsauken NJ, at the Pennsauken Flea market, I pay $5 and buy 2 get one free from one seller. The seller I got the BL dvds from was $5 each.

I'm afraid that new film "Bruce Lee, my brother!" won't be better than "Legend of Bruce Lee".

Arif Lee is not Bruce Lee. Yes he has good appearance, but he has not Bruce's power and charisma! To my regret!

I have the butchered subtitled version of this series and it is absolutely woeful!

What a waste. Danny Chan looks amazingly like Bruce, however, he is not given any material to challange himself nor is the story anywhere near comprehensible.

This is what the Estate has stooped to.

Exactly - the only ones benefiting from this are the Estate.

What with this and the recently announced pointless statue - every penny that is made from this crud slices a little bit off Bruce's real legacy.

I just got the chopped version myself for $5.00 so I'll post my review after I watch it. I'm going into watching this movie with an open mind granted its going to be really hard from all the horrible reviews it has gotten so far.

I saw the condensed version on Saturday and like the Fist of Fury TV series, makes me want to see the series as a whole. It had some very cheesy elements, but I think in a way a point came across that Bruce Lee used a combination of various martial arts in the creation of Jeet Kune Do and I really enjoyed his fights against Gary Daniels, Mark Dacascos, and Ray Park, even with the wire enhancements.

It definitely makes me look more forward to BRUCE LEE MY BROTHER.

I made it through the first half hour or so before I could not stand it anymore. The version that I am viewing is the 3hr 3 min version from Lionsgate. It starts off with Bruce already in Seattle winning a Karate championship. My god, I thought that I was watching "Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story" all over again. What crap! I know a lot of you know more about Bruce`s life than I do. But, he was never a Karate champion in Seattle. And, he did not hurt his back from a fight. I don`t think that I am going to be able to finish watching this movie. Maybe I should just fast-forward through it.

Yep. It's a mess... Too bad, because they finally found a guy who really looks like Bruce, had an opportunity to use a real choreographer-read Sammo, and totally dropped the ball. Danny Chan could play Lee in an unauthorized version of his life, directed by someone who cares to put the truth out!

Its such a disappointing series...they had the budget, the support, the cast but wrong choice of choreographer Master Ma from 'Fearless', he played the fighter on the high platform..and even if you watch the full version of series its just insanity...Linda Lee going to back up her husband at a death match, etc....

The condensed version is probably the least offensive evrsion of the series to watch, at least the fights are pretty frequent and you dont have to deal with the majority of bizarre plot points

That "I'm Chinese" stuff [after winning a unparticipated Karate Championship :xd:] is sooooooo gay. Linda is a gorgeous GODDESS :tinysmile_angry2_t:, her husband is gay with no sign of the intensity we all adore so much, Dan Inosanto looked nothing like himself, no Hong Kong early family and industrial foundation, no nose-thumbed HK in later years, no Bruce's flaws, no workmanship and friendship with HK and Hollywood people, no fight scenes, no anything :tinysmile_angry2_t: just some romanticism along with 2000s fashion and tech :crossedlips:

A shameful waste indeed.
