Member Endsang Posted February 1, 2008 Member Share Posted February 1, 2008 http://www.hkflix.com/xq/asp/filmID.544755/qx/details.htm Would you reccomend this box set? I haven't seen any of the movies yet, but have heard some good things, and it seems like a pretty good deal. I'm also wondering about the quality of Image Entertainment releases. Any experiences there?
Member venoms5 Posted February 1, 2008 Member Share Posted February 1, 2008 I have all four of these from IVL and didn't bother picking up the Image discs (save for WATER MARGIN) as there is nothing different from the HK disc that I am aware of. I have yet to see VENGEANCE IS A GOLDEN BLADE. If you like late 60s early 70s swordplay especially Shaw Brothers, then these all have points of interest (speaking of the three I've seen). Being Chang Cheh movies for three of them, there's a good bit of bloody violence in these.
Member gravedigger666 Posted March 20, 2008 Member Share Posted March 20, 2008 picked the pack mainly because of "have sword will travel" and that is brilliant movie.Water Margin is not,I`m sure Roger Corman cut as 7 blows of the dragon is bit more accetable.wtf,90 mins or so is about heroes trying to release one man from prison.to call it bit boring is massive understatement. It`s very hard for me to completely hate period piece of shaw movie but water margin just sucks so badly:( rest still unseen.
