Member Sifu Posted June 21, 2008 Member Share Posted June 21, 2008 I thought Half a Loaf of Kung Fu was damn stupid! Pretty stupid, but definitely not near the worst!

Member shaolin drunkard Posted January 28, 2009 Member Share Posted January 28, 2009 Xanda Not that bad but still...not much to cheer about either. There is about 4 fights in movie, mostly it´s boring melodrama. But dozens of lot worse movies exist, worth picking if see it on bargain bin and have nothing to watch atm. I like the 1st fight when kung-fu expert confronts xanda champion in restaurant/open air cafe or wthell call it in english.
Guest Markgway
Some wise choices... some very silly ones. (Eg. Gorgeous isn't even a martial arts movie).

Member bolofan Posted January 28, 2009 Member Share Posted January 28, 2009 I'm going with a film called "True Game Of Death" - A clone film with a barely recognisable Bruce clone called Shou Long I think. - No redeeming comedy value. - Painfully boring. - Horrendous fight scenes. - The worst possible pagoda scene ever at the end. I mean, for me, this film was genuinely like taking a shit then rubbing it in your eyes for 80 minutes.

Yes the Bruce clone in that film was the same guy that played the Spearman in white in the Shaw film Flag of Iron.

Member SimonMW Posted January 29, 2009 Member Share Posted January 29, 2009 Tough Ninja Yes!! Somebody else remembers this! I once watched this when I was at college, and although it is hands down the worst film I have ever seen, it also nearly caused me and my friends to rupture our internal organs through laughing so much! Member niro Posted January 29, 2009 Member Share Posted January 29, 2009 Those ninja films with the australian dubs, the dubbing was so terrible i just couldnt get past it, the action may have been decent but accompanied by that dubbing it just made the films complete nightmares
Member odioustrident Posted January 29, 2009 Member Share Posted January 29, 2009 As far as wuxias go: Descendant of the Sun Full Moon Scimitar (Tang Chia's messiest choreography by far) Liquid Sword II(might also be called Lone Ninja Warrior, it is not Faster Blade, Poisonous Darts) Another terrible display of arm-swinging is Four Invincibles, which might be the worst ever. Member Gaijin84 Posted January 29, 2009 Member Share Posted January 29, 2009 Deadly Snail vs. Kung Fu Killers is by far the worst also, The Crazy Instructor Bruce and Shaolin Kung Fu 2
Member dMG Posted January 29, 2009 Member Share Posted January 29, 2009 I disagree on a bunch of titles mentioned. New legend of shaolin is one of my favourite Jet Li movies and calling the Godfrey Ho, Joseph Lai or Elton Chong movies mentioned here the worst is unfair. They might lack in many departments when it comes to film making but they sure do pack some kind of entertainment value. Same goes to Fighting Ace and Shaolin vs Ninja, even though i've had some difficulties getting into the latter one of these two. Maybe a better definition of what should be considered the worst is needed? It's happened to me many times that i've watched some movie wishing it to be something it's not (because of certain style of acting, not liking the settings or too few fights etc) thinking it's crap, but at a later rewatch i've seen and enjoyed the movie for what it is instead of what it could've been .. And a good fight is always a good fight. I guess sometimes ppl can be a bit biased when it comes to what they think is good or bad. To mention a simple example: Some people might not like the Lo Rei era Jackie Chan's because they grew up watching the newer 'funnier' Jackie's expecting the Lo Rei's to be more like the newer stuff. But to mention one movie i never could finish watching: Tiger and Crane Fist. Boring story, boring settings and i can't recall any tiger or crane fist used in this - or hardly any fighting at all for that matter - or any connection to Shaolin (altho i haven't seen it in many years so my memory might be fuzzy. maybe it's worth a reevaluation). I've seen a bunch of other stinkers too but i can't recall titles atm.
Member Chinatown Kid Posted January 30, 2009 Member Share Posted January 30, 2009 I remember Bolo was in 2 stinkers, one called Chinese Hercules and the other Chinese Samson, the fights were so stiff that everybody looked like they had rigamortis. Wilson Tong and John Chang were in a crappy movie called Duel of the Brave Ones too....
Member Yang Wu Liang Posted January 30, 2009 Member Share Posted January 30, 2009 I would disagree with some of the choices- I'd hardly say Full Moon Scimitar or Sword Named Revenge are the worst martial arts films ever made (not for a wuxia fan like me anyway). I'd say Dragon Lee made some entertaining films as well - Martial Monks of The Shaolin Temple, Secret Ninja Roaring Tiger etc. Anyway, each to their own, just my opinion! I'll second Deadly Snail Vs KF Killers and add Prisoner of Five Boulders!

Member The Dragon Posted February 8, 2009 Member Share Posted February 8, 2009 The Black Dragon V.S. The Yellow Tiger!! With some dude named Tarng Long?! who had the worst nunchucku skills EVER recorded on film!! What a piece of S@#*!!! NOTE: This movie was sooo bad, I not only want my money back(30 yrs later now), I want a personal apology from the theater, to every patron who wasted their $1.50, (back in the day), and suffered through this when we could have happily faced a firing squad instead. I've never heard this one, single word so much at the movies... ...BOO!!! UPDATE:I found a clip... (View at your own risk)

Member Morgoth Bauglir Posted February 9, 2009 Member Share Posted February 9, 2009 UPDATE:I found a clip... (View at your own risk) I can't say it's one of the worst fights I've seen, but it's not good. Thanks for the clip. I was thinking of getting the movie some day, but not now. I'd like to add Martial Arts Master Wong Fei Hung starring Chin Ka Lok and Lam Ching Ying.I thought i will enjoy that, but after watching i knew i wasted my time only. At least it's not as bad as Shaolin Avengers. Lam Ching Ying and Chin Kar Lok got stuck in a really crap movie there.
