Member AlbertV Posted January 2, 2008 Member Share Posted January 2, 2008 I went to Hollywood Video and I got to rent these two martial arts films, MAX HAVOC: CURSE OF THE DRAGON (2004) and MAX HAVOC: RING OF FIRE (2006). Both star Mickey Hardt, a martial artist/model/actor who was discovered by Donnie Yen and was the star of Yen's German TV series, Der Puma - Kämpfer mit Herz (Codename: Puma). Max Havoc is a former world kickboxing champion turned sports photographer who always finds trouble on the assignments he goes on. If you come across these, see COTD. The fights were really good here, choreographed by Jonathan Eusebio of 89Eleven Stunt Team and stunt coordinator J.J. Perry. Hardt takes on Johnny Nguyen and Arnold Chon in the film. ROF is an inferior sequel. They shot all the fight scenes in the dark, making it not too good at all.
