Member Killer Meteor Posted April 4, 2008 Member Share Posted April 4, 2008 Not sure if its been mentioned, but the bycycle chase in The Young Rebel is scored by an instrumental version of Blue Oyster Cult's The Red and the Black

Member TibetanWhiteCrane Posted April 4, 2008 Member Share Posted April 4, 2008 One of Yu_Xihong's compilations had quite a few bits from that movie, although not the intro theme as I recall!

Member magicpoe Posted April 4, 2008 Member Share Posted April 4, 2008 I've uploaded most of what has been posted in this thread. This is not everything because I deleted some of the stuff that I wasn't interested in. I've also added a few things posted back at the old forum. You'll need WIN RAR to unpack and put the files together. Obviously you'll need all 11 files also. http://rapidshare.com/files/104884442/Forum_MP3s.part01.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/104884384/Forum_MP3s.part02.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/104892855/Forum_MP3s.part03.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/104892920/Forum_MP3s.part04.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/104892931/Forum_MP3s.part05.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/104899534/Forum_MP3s.part06.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/104899670/Forum_MP3s.part07.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/104899773/Forum_MP3s.part08.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/104905144/Forum_MP3s.part09.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/104905605/Forum_MP3s.part10.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/104903079/Forum_MP3s.part11.rar I'd like to say thank you once again to all the forum members who have provided these files. Member Yu_Xihong Posted April 4, 2008 Member Share Posted April 4, 2008 Are there that many files from "back then?" It's a waste for me to DL 1GB+ without an RS account just for a few files. The drums from Kid With the Golden Arm were used as a variation in Ode to Gallantry. As for Magnificent Ruffians, that's one of my faves and I have no idea what it's from, but I think most of the music from Naval Commandos is on that same LP. Member magicpoe Posted April 5, 2008 Member Share Posted April 5, 2008 Yu_Xihong, I'd say 98% are what you've previously uploaded. I'm building a computer at the moment but later this weekend I'll make a separate post of files from the old forum.
Member Yu_Xihong Posted April 5, 2008 Member Share Posted April 5, 2008 Nice, take your time. BTW, heads up for everybody. If you see a movie and think you recognize a Shaw sound. Look it up at www.moviegrooves.com. They have a THOROUGH selection and the majority have samples. It's been invaluable to me in doing this. Member lousy Posted April 5, 2008 Member Share Posted April 5, 2008 Here's Duel at Diablo http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WL1T4ZAA Does anyone know or have the music used in My Young Auntie, Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang, etc. It was used in the beginning of Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang and during some of the fights in My Young Auntie. I figured I'd ask again and keep asking until I find someone who knows.
Member magicpoe Posted April 5, 2008 Member Share Posted April 5, 2008 These are from the old forum. I know sevenhooks posted some of this originally and I created most of the Shaw MP3 themes except for some of the ones Yu_Xihong created. I don't remember anyone else. So below we have: Way of the Dragon Soundtrack Drunkin Master 2 Soundtrack Fist of Fury Soundtrack Jackie Chan Movie Soundtracks Mandigo Soundtrack Shaw Movie Themes (Includes some that Yu_Xihong created) Sevenhooks Mixes (Paul Nice) The Big Gundown (Ennio Morricone) http://rapidshare.com/files/105093009/Old_Forum_MP3s.part1.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/105093087/Old_Forum_MP3s.part2.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/105093139/Old_Forum_MP3s.part3.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/105078003/Old_Forum_MP3s.part4.rar
Member teako170 Posted April 5, 2008 Member Share Posted April 5, 2008 I know sevenhooks posted some of this originally http://www.teako170.com/pnice.wav I love the track KUNG FU MIX (partial) that 7 had done (...And I don't even listen to Hip Hop). I asked him a couple of times to do a longer version of that bit. Hopefully he'll return someday....

Member Yu_Xihong Posted April 6, 2008 Member Share Posted April 6, 2008 http://www.teako170.com/pnice.wav I love the track KUNG FU MIX (partial) that 7 had done (...And I don't even listen to Hip Hop). I asked him a couple of times to do a longer version of that bit. Hopefully he'll return someday.... Sounds like it was about to jump into Liquid Swords. It's gonna take a while but I'll have to check these out. As far as I know, with RS you only need all the files if it's 1 or 2 large files. But you can cheat winrar by having many small files. I didn't recognize Duel at Diablo at all (I'm not good with older movies) but thanks for contributing. And I don't have Chinatown Kid, but if you mean the part where they fight and he finds out he had him set up, I'm gonna say "Night Raid." It was in New Finds I or II. Member venoms5 Posted April 6, 2008 Member Share Posted April 6, 2008 The main theme from DUEL AT DIABLO can be heard in OAS at approximately 22 minutes into the film right after Wang Yu has his arm chopped off. It pops up again at 25:12 as Wang Yu stumbles and crawls through the snow.
Member venoms5 Posted April 6, 2008 Member Share Posted April 6, 2008 The music used in OAS is heard on these tracks: Track 3- The Earth Turns Red/Prologue Track 7- Flight At Diablo Pass/Dust To Dust Thank you lousy for posting this score. Nah, it's a bit earlier in the film where you can't hear what they are saying to each other, but where Wang Lung Wei plants the drugs on him.
