Member ben Posted December 29, 2007 Member Share Posted December 29, 2007 Hi. Was wondering if anybody knew anything about these rare/obscure Korean films that Lo Lieh co-directed in the 70s/80s? Or if any copies are available? "Dragon King 2" (KOREAN TITLE: "Wanglyong 2") http://imdb.com/title/tt0303208/ "Great Martial Arts Teacher" (KOREAN TITLE: "Daesaboo") http://imdb.com/title/tt0309484/ "Warriors" (KOREAN TITLE: "Chilhyeobpalui") http://imdb.com/title/tt0317235/ "Enlightened Buddhist Named Mok-ryeon" (KOREAN TITLE: "Solimsa Mok-ryeon dosa") http://imdb.com/title/tt0318702/ Haven't been able to find anything apart from listings on various online film databases. Member AlbertV Posted December 29, 2007 Member Share Posted December 29, 2007 Well, it's not mentioned, but I did see the original Dragon King at a Sam Goody a few years back. It was in a 2-pack Bobby Kim set that included his 1989 American film Kill Line. The original Dragon King (Wanglyong) was known here as Deadly Kick. Not a bad film. Lo was pretty good as was Bobby Kim, who played the hero of the film, looking like a Korean Charles Bronson with some nice kicking skills. Last film I saw Kim in was American Chinatown starring Henry Taejoon Lee, the son of the founder of Hwarang-Do. I think Kim now lives in Texas. Member ben Posted December 30, 2007 Author Member Share Posted December 30, 2007 Thanks for that information. I saw Deadly Kick for sale at YESASIA as a double feature with another film, but wasn't sure about the others..
Member falkor Posted December 30, 2007 Member Share Posted December 30, 2007 EDIT:You have included 25 images in your message. You are limited to using 4 images so please go back and correct the problem and then continue again. WTF!? This forum is shit... goodbye. Lo Lieh is the star of these films, not co-director... Guest Markgway
I wonder what made Lo stay in Korea when he was so in demand in HK?
