It's a breath of fresh air since so few period kung fu movies are made anymore. It even has an old-school feel to it with the main villain being a white hair fox. The only problem I had with the film is that the the final fight ends abruptly. I don't know, I guess it tries to send a moral Buddhist message instead, but it would have been a real classic if the final fight were longer.
