It felt like they were just making up stuff as they went on... I was bored out of mind. Typical Chu Yuan stuff. Clan Feuds - This one was so so. It's been awhile since, I watched it. There's some pretty good fight scene. I would rent it first or find a copy before you decide to buy the original. Guest ironfistedmonk Posted November 14, 2007 Share Posted November 14, 2007 Savage 5 would be my pick from that list, Brothers 5 and Duel For Gold are pretty good early swordplay films, lots of action and blood which is always good in my book. I thought Clan Feuds was pretty good but if you are new to Shaw Bros you might wanna stay away from the Chu Yuan directed stuff for a bit as it can be a bit of an acquired taste. Savage 5 is a film I especially love. Always have. Almost a western really and prob inspired by Kurosawas Seven Samurai as well. A absolute classic. Duel For Gold is a great film as well. I was bored out of mind. Typical Chu Yuan stuff. Black Lizard was based on a novel by Huang Ying, the author who wrote Bastard Swordsman (the novel). Clan Feuds - This one was so so. It's been awhile since, I watched it. There's some pretty good fight scene. I would rent it first or find a copy before you decide to buy the original. Based on Gu Long's long saga.
