I though we could put our faviroute scenes from any Shaws movie, wether it's a fight or training scene or just dialogue! I'd have to say my fav shaws moment is the training scene with Lau Kar Leung and Hsiao Ho in Mad Monkey Kung fu with the Wong Fei Hung music playing and the sun set stage, great stuff!

look forward to hearing what you think.

thanks, will

The training scene in Mad Monkey kung Fu is magical.

One of my favourites has to be the scene in 8 Diagram Pole Fighter when Gordon Liu shaves his head and Knocks over the incense sticks to scar his head. I`m not sure if it`s just him acting or the pain he was feeling at the time for the loss of Fu Sheng, either way it`s a powerful scene and I never get tired of seeing it.

Another one of my faves has to be the intro to to Challenge Of The Masters. I love the version of the Wong Fei Hung theme and Gordon Liu & Chen Kaun Tai are awesome. :D

Shaolin Prince when the 3 Holy Fools reveal they are standing on pogo sticks.

The end of Killer Constable. I wouldn't call it my favorite moment, but for me it is the most memorable.

Thanks for the video, have to buy that one, another one for me is when Lu Feng takes out Philip Kwok's eyes in Crippled Avengers, cos it was the tension building up to it! Dosn't matter Philip hands out butt kicking to Lu Feng at the end!

I think Lau Kar Leung definitely had some of the best openings with Challenge of the Masters, and Legendary Weapons of China, I always loved the beginning of Dirty Ho.

There's so many but off the top of my head...

Ti Lung drinking all that wine in Tiger Killer, the waiter kept screaming 3 more bowls! I think it was called 3 bowl wine cause you couldn't drink more then 3 bowls and make it over the bridge, he drank the whole jug.

That flip Hsiao Ho does into that tree that he starts going off on in Mad Monkey Kung Fu (I like the part before when he first starts hitting the tree with his hands all bloody while Lau tries to hit his hands with that stick.)

The wolf sparring scene with Phillip Ko and Gordon Liu.

The yard/sewer fight in the Delinquent.

Yueh Hua singing with the orphans in Come Drink with Me.

The knife fight in the Duel.

Just to name a few.

It's really hard to pick a favorite Shaw Brothers sequence, but here are a few of my faves:

-Betty Pei Tei killing the dude and then licking the blood off her fingers in Intimate Confessions of a Chinese Courtesan.

-Ti Lung's death in Vengeance

-Chen Kuan Tai going nuts at the end of Boxer From Shantung

-Shih Szu fighting the Black Devil in The Lady Hermit.

-The final fight in Avenging Eagle.

-Chen Ping's double barrel shotgun carrying raid on the drug lord's mansion in The Sexy Killer.

-The first skinning scene in Human Lanterns (very Mario Bava).

-The scene where the old "good" magician beats a possessed Tanny with a dead ferret in Black Magic, Part II.

-The scene where the kid lets the komodo dragons loose on the tied up ho in The Killer Snakes.

-The guy getting assraped by Chan Shen and then killing him in Lost Souls.

-The lesbian interracial dildo rape scene in Bamboo House of Dolls.

Still haven't seen much, but from what I've seen so far...

Ti Lung's death in New One-armed Swordsman

D. Chiang selling his horse in Have Sword, Will Travel.

Snake doing that "character development" thing and his betraying of Scorpion in Five Deadly Venoms.

Training sequences in Crippled Avengers.

Daredevils finale.

The "tent scene" from The Heroic Ones.

The Gordon Liu vs. Wang Lung Wei fight in Martial Club.

Drunken Cat's musical performance in Come Drink With Me.

The opening scene of Spiritual Boxing (incredibly cool;))...

I love the scene where all the venoms are introduced in the begining of the Five Deadly Venoms.

That's one of my favorites too!

Tian xia di yi quan (1972) .... Chao Chih-Hao

... aka Five Fingers of Death (USA)

... aka Hand of Death

... aka Invincible Boxer

... aka King Boxer (Hong Kong: English title: original subtitled version)

... aka Tin ha dai yat kuen (Hong Kong: Cantonese title)

Bi hu (1972)

One of the very first Shaw flicks seen at the theater; Favorite part is when Lo Lieh is fighting in the tournament and then the wild music starts and then his hands turn fiery red. And he uses his Iron Fist Technique, very exciting on the Big Screen..

The one scene that immediately comes to my mind every time this or,a similiar

topic is brought up is in Crippled Avengers-

When (name eludes me)the "strongman" hears of people giving Tu Tin To trouble

he offers up his help, goes to the inn and meets Sun chein and Chiang Sheng.

Chiang sheng"He's got iron feet"

Strongman"iron feet, iron fist, these nicknames usually dont mean a thing.I will let you give me 3 blows"

Sun Chien proceeds to cave his chest in with his iron feet.

Strongman"your feet, they really are IRON!!

Chiang sheng laughing away........

Everything Chaing Sheng does in that movie is awesome, personally for me watching House of Traps was pretty special as it was the only venom i hadn't even seen a trailer or clip for.

*Knight Of the Knights finale where monk tries to hit hero with his iron palm and it leaves print to wall

*shaolin temple where fu sheng gets his ass beaten up by wang lung wei 1st time

*crippled avengers where sun chiens iron feet penetrates opponents chest

...ok some more

*deadly duo where chiang is bleeding and hostage prince offers him chance to get treatment and even position in mongol army but chiang refuses

*sequence in "golden swallow" where one follower of evil leader did good thing and was sentenced to heart dig out but instead loyal man ran to guillotine

*5 element ninjas Lo Mengs absolutely insane fight against ninjas

enough....

Wow the training scene in Mad Monkey Kung Fu ranks up there with everyone.

Thinking about Invincible Shaolin I liked Lo Mang's training scene where he has to eat all those eggs he breaks... Eggs! I love eggs! Yeah, till you eat them a couple months strait!
