Guest vengeanceofhumanlanterns
Just watched The Ghoul 1933 last night. A Halloween treat. Excellent film. Boris Karloff, Ernest Thesiger, Sir Cedric Hardwick all kicked ass. At the beginning a character is pouring Absinthe into a glass, puts a cube of suger onto a spoon, then pours some other liquid (alcohol?) over the cube of sugar into the same glass. What is that second liquid? The mysteries never end.

Guest Morgoth
I was wondering when someone else was going to mention the remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. The ending of that movie sent a chill through my body.
Member 5 Element Boxer Posted November 7, 2007 Member Share Posted November 7, 2007 Yeah. I haven't seen it in a while though. That's another DVD I need to add to my library. I just bought a remastered version of The Thing. Great picture and sound quality, plus lots of Special Features. And I also recommend picking up that 2 Disc Special Edition of The Shinning. You can find it at pretty much any store right now. It's worth every penny.

Guest Iron_Jinon
I`ve not watched horror for loooooooooooooooooong time but these are not forgotten; *terror at the opera *inferno *house by the cemetary+5-6 other fulcis *bay of blood *blood and black lace *stagefright *tombs of the blind dead+other parts of blind dead series *too many hammer dracula movies to mention *various spanish werewolf movies starring paul naschy *faceless(jess franco directed, quite gory) it`s safe to say most of best horror films were made in europe, and masters have almost all passed away now:(. all movies from edgar allan poe novels are good and few from stephen king books(pet cemetary, firestarter, carrie, children of the corn.),silent night dead night was good and of course last house on the left.
