Chang Cheh: 73 and counting...

Was in a discussion about favorite directors and most films seen. Hitchcock is easily my favorite I said and have seen 49 (of 53) of his films. But then this evening I counted up the # of CC movies that I own. Starting with The Magnificent Trio to Death Ring, I tallied up 73 films.

I figured it was a lot ...but 73!?

I then realized only a handful of CC pictures were left that I wanted to see: The Flying Dagger, The Delightful Forest, The Pirate, and Five Element Ninja. The remaining stuff is either fantasy flicks (like Na Cha) or his later mainland films with the Baby V's - which don't appeal to me.

For the longest time I figured CC films were damn near infinite but I guess every run must come to an end. And a fine run indeed. |I

Many of these are already on DVD and should be seen atleast once! Some of them are martial-arts films as well.

Hidden Hero is a remake of Life Gamble which I enjoyed.
