Guest Shaolin Patriot
Brotherhood (1976), directed by Hua Shan and starring Tony Liu Yung and Lily Li, caught my eye earlier and I'm wondering if anyone purchased the IVL release. It sounds like a triad action film by the description. Has anyone seen it? Please share your thoughts on this film. I would be interested in buying. www.hkcinemagic.com/en/movie.asp?id=3194
Guest Ivy Ling Po
I liked Brotherhood. It has been some time since I watched it but the thing memorable about it is Hu Chin's superb performance as the villainess.
Member Linn1 Posted April 19, 2007 Member Share Posted April 19, 2007 I'd say it's one of the best gangster films the Shaws did. Excellent acting and story.

Guest Shaolin Patriot
Based on everyone's recommendations, I bought Brotherhood and finally had a chance to see it last night. Liu Yung, Lily Li and Hu Chin played their roles well and the story was involved all the way through. I was also impressed with Lily's kung fu abilities in this one; often a talent underestimated in her other films. A must buy for all SB fans!! Guest vengeanceofhumanlanterns
I picked this one up a little while back based on a few replies in this thread. Haven't seen it yet, but looking forward to it.
