FUDOH: THE NEW GENERATION (1996) 4K/Blu-ray from Media Blasters/Tokyo Shock Blu-ray/4K/UHD Thread

I thought we had a thread for this company, but I guess not.

Since they've just released a 4K/UHD of FUDOH: THE NEW GENERATION (1996) with little to no fanfare I wanted to make sure this good news didn't slip through the cracks.

@Ronin posted about this in the Master thread for boutique label Asian releases in August and Cityonfire.com (https://cityonfire.com/fudoh-the-new-generation-4k-ultra-hd-media-blasters/#comment-394542) had a news announcement about it soon after. Still, otherwise, I haven't seen any advertising for it anywhere. It's Media Blasters/Tokyo Shock's first 4K/UHD release, and it's one of, if not my favorite Takashi Miike movies- a wild ride. I'm fairly certain this was my introduction to the work of director Miike, and what a first impression! It's a wild youth/yakuza/revenge thriller filled with unforgettable over-the-top violence, action, sexiness, and bizarre happenings. Also, I think this is Riki Takeuchi in his signature role.

Media Blasters' John Sirabella stated that they created this from a composite of film elements (I think it was originally shot on 16mm) and did a cleanup and restoration themselves (clips available in links below). The release includes an audio commentary with Takashi Miike and star Shosuke Tanihara (Riki Fudoh) and interviews with both. This is a Limited Edition- 1,000 units/ Exclusive Packaging. It appears to include both a 4K disc and a Blu-ray.

There's a listing for it on Bluray.com, but with "no release date" nor an Amazon link. There are two threads for it on their forum though, this https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=376989 and https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=367240. On September 20th someone reported that it was already at the replicators and should start shipping within two weeks. Upon checking at Media Blasters' site it was already available (not listed as a preorder), so my son ordered it (free shipping) and it's expected in 5-8 days.
