Why has The Dead and the Deadly got a 1989 credit?

I just watched The Dead and the Deadly on the Eureka BD and noticed the copyright in the end credits is '1989' and not 1982, does anyone know why this would be?

My first guess is that it's a mistake either on the original film or the Fortune Star remaster? (I could be wrong but to me at least the text in the end credits looks entirely reconstructed by Fortune Star.)

Another guess would be that it had a re-release in 1989? If that's the case it makes me wonder if there's more than 1 version/cut? (Of course that last point is sort of speculation on top of speculation.)

I found the end credits for the older Media Asia version. There aren't any, other than 'The End' in Chinese and English, and the usual post movie 'Star TV' copyright and 'warning'.
