Blades of the Guardians (2025) - Jet Li, Wu Jing

Apparently, filming had begun on Yuen Woo Ping’s new wuxia epic, Blades of the Guardians, based on the incredible manhua (which I recommend everyone watch).

Jet Li will star, with Wu Jing co-starring.

However, now I’m seeing the word “rumored” being thrown around about this film, so it may not be filming yet.

This is not only a surprise because of Jet, but I heard a while back that Yuen Woo-Ping wasn't in the greatest health anymore. I think he's 79 or 80 now, and directing a film is no easy task. Still, Clint Eastwood continues to do it (the last one he directed was three years ago) and he's 94 now! 

Anyhow, I hope it's not just a rumor.
