This looks pretty fun! I'll try to check it out. Any info on the run time as these days I don't enjoy 2hr+ flicks (I get too restless).

Not really feeling our leading man here BUT 'Midnight Runners' was a great action comedy! He also made 'Bloodhounds' on Netflix. As well as the mediocre 'The Divine Fury'.

One of the best! The Divine Fury was fun and I enjoyed it, skipped Bloodhounds as I'm not into series really, but I might check it out for the action.

I also enjoyed DIVINE FURY, still Park Seo Joon's best roles along with MIDNIGHT RUNNERS. I'm also not much of a fan of Kim Woo-bin but I tended to be more forgiving of him after his battle with a serious illness.

I liked it! Probably more than yourself but I totally agree on all the criticism you had to utter. So I'll refrain from repeating it.

Guess this time around I was just more forgiving. The tonal shift didn't bother me all that much. I just thought that given the subject matter this should've never been a "action comedy" to begin with.

Dealing with sexual abuse of children, distribution and production of child pornography is a baffling choice for a "action comedy" to say the very least! I felt uncomfortable at times to be honest. How can you watch this kind of stuff and than still have a laugh!?

Aside from that the action was good, our leading man definitely put in the work and our villain sure as hell did his part! I agree that Lee Hyun Kul needs his shot to fight Mae Dong-Seok in an upcoming 'The Roundup' part.

Last but not least I felt the movie was too long. Could've easily done with 20-30 minutes less IMHO. However overall I still did enjoy 'Officer Black Belt' and would argue it's one of the better K-movies (action) on Netflix. Worth checking out!

@One Armed Boxer not sure if you mentioned this in your review but we never got an explanation for our leads rather "unflattering" nickname Or did I miss this entirely?

Dude by all means if you can stomach the subject matter check it out! It's not a bad movie just missed the mark IMHO.
