I had actually bought DVDs from them nearly 20 yrs ago, which were clearly bootlegs, but that's not a big issue.

I tried once to get the Indonesian movie which Wilson Tong played in, but I was never able to do the payment. I tried their contact form and they never replied, though I was an old member of their forum and did some trades with them in the past. So, I gave up.

In addition to that, I think that their prices for a just download are too much, the same as they asked for their physical dvds when they sold dvds!

Thanks for the response.

It's a shame that that was your experience with them. I've seen quite a few people having issues with them. I recall the DVDs I got being an okay price, I think they were about £10 each, but that was a long time ago.

I'm a bit stuck because they have some very interesting films including some that I've been hunting for. But all I'm hearing is negative stuff. I don't know if I can trust them :(

I stopped buying or trading dvds with them because it happened several times that they had freezing issues or they even didn't play in any of my players.

I'm also interested in some of their movies, bit I'm too afraid to get them...

Back in the ADC days they were known for selling fan edits which is total BS in my book! And yeah on top of that their "own" releases were usually plagued with issues. Avoid afaic.

Yes I remember there DVD being on dodgy blue discs and had problems within a few plays, eventually becoming broken.

I also heard about them selling fan edits, which is that act of scum.

If they're fine with selling others' work, surely they'll have no problem if I get their films for free elsewhere. Does anybody know where I might find some of their films?

Cheers

It's a fact I can guarantee you lol. As for where to find certain movies... Which titles are you looking for? Not familiar with any active asian tracker that's still into customs of obscure Kung Fu movies. These days are forever gone it seems since ADC hit the bucket.

I think CG is the last refuge now for those old ADC uploads.

I remember the FL stands for Flash Legs, but don't know about the K. Kino maybe? Kung Fu perhaps?

Sandong Chinese Restaurant was definitely released as an English dub, but I can't find the name for the DVD.

During my research it seemed that some of the Korean films got an English dub version on VHS but didn't make it to the official DVD. Dreadnaught Rivals is another such case, but that one got a French DVD release. Unfortunately I didn't find a French (or any other) DVD for Sandong Chinese Restaurant :(

BTW that clip is not from Sandong Chinese Restaurant, it's 7-Star Grand Mantis. It's easy to be fooled by it, as both films has basically the same cast, costume and locations. I was fooled by it too for a while, but it's really the fault of the Korean uploader. :P

Argh! Benny Tsui strikes again! I'll look in my collection for some of these films, but most are pretty obscure.

Yes, most of them I'm pretty sure haven't seen any official release apart from VHS in Korea. That's why I'm conflicted, I don't like some of their practices, but if I can't get these anywhere else, what options do I have ? :(

Thanks for having a look for me. Appreciated as always. :D
