She was born in Chiayi City, Taiwan. Later, her family moved to Hualien County to settle down, and her family ran a gold jewelry store. She graduated from the Dance Department of Taipei Guoguang Theater Experimental School . While [Yang] was studying in the dance department of Guoguang Art School , she participated in the dance competition of the CTV talent competition program " Six Lights Awards ", performing folk dances and modern dances . After being discovered and trained by CTV with her beautiful figure and pretty face, she participated in CTV The 1986 TV series " The Legend of the Flag Hero " . When Yang Lijing was studying at Guoguang Art School, she dated Benjamin Lee Chih-Hsi for four years. After graduating from the Guoguang Art School at the age of 19, she went to the Hong Kong film industry to develop her career. She initially signed a contract with D&B Film Company to star in the "In the Line of Duty" series of action films (including In the Line of Duty III; In the Line of Duty IV: Witness; and In the Line of Duty V: Middle Man) and became popular after that, and was once hailed as " Michelle Yeoh's successor". Afterwards, she also entered the television industry and did many drama productions in [Taiwan]. The Taiwanese TV series " Legend of Xiangshuai " co-starred with Zheng Shaoqiu is her representative work. After Cynthia Yang obtained the International Yoga Teacher Certificate, she actively expanded her yoga career, started teaching classes, established "Lizhi Jinghua International Co., Ltd.", and published many books and teaching DVDs. On November 17, 2015, Yang Lijing held a press conference, accompanied by a lawyer, in response to media reports that [Yang] had suffered a plastic surgery disfigurement in 2010, which caused her to lose many endorsements and drama opportunities, She showed two medical aesthetic diagnosis reports to clarify that her face was [fine], [pleading with] netizens to stop bullying her.
