Member Whoishe Posted December 24, 2023 Member Share Posted December 24, 2023 Hello I am looking for any Kung Fu flicks where it's the female, who is the last standing villain in the final battle. It has to be very rare, as for now I only know "Shaolin Heroes" (https://hkmdb.com/db/movies/view.mhtml?id=11831) with Doris Lung performing in that role. But I'm sure there are members here who probably seen this kind of movies once or twice. Update: I don't want to include movies from the late 80's/Girls with Guns era, as it's been more prominent at that time for example with Yukari Oshima. Member Whoishe Posted December 26, 2023 Author Member Share Posted December 26, 2023 "Finger of Doom" (https://hkmdb.com/db/movies/view.mhtml?id=5304&display_set=eng) 1972 production fits here, as after a late Heel Turn, Park Ji-Hyeon (I think...) is the final villain fighting versus the Mixed Tag Team consisting of Ivy Ling Po and Chin Han. Moderator One Armed Boxer Posted December 27, 2023 Moderator Share Posted December 27, 2023 In 1973's 'Knight Errant', after facing off against Yasuaki Kurata, Jimmy Wang Yu must face the final villain in the form of Hsieh Chin-Chu.

Member Whoishe Posted December 27, 2023 Author Member Share Posted December 27, 2023 Thanks for all the contributions above "Knight Errant" - It seems I watched it before, will take another look at it "The Dragon Tamers" - never heard about it until now "Devil's Mirror" - which version will be the one? https://hkmdb.com/db/movies/view.mhtml?id=10535&display_set=eng or https://hkmdb.com/db/movies/view.mhtml?id=5324&display_set=eng

Member SDJ Posted December 27, 2023 Member Share Posted December 27, 2023 It might not even need to be said, but Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon The Lost Swordship, although the last "fight" doesn't really qualify as a fight.

"Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" was probably too obvious of a choice, that's why I have missed it :). And "Lost Swordship" seems to qualify as well, never watched it before, so Another one was added to the watchlist. Member Scottfu Posted December 28, 2023 Member Share Posted December 28, 2023 I know its stretching to call it kung fu but Cleopatra Jones and the Casino of Gold with Stella Stevens as the final baddie.

I didn't know that she was an initial (?) Cleopatra (Jones/Wong) ahead of Marrie Lee... but after watching a trailer that's definitely all I will be watching from this movie Edited December 28, 2023 by Whoishe

Right, right, I didn't spot that Marrie Lee Was "Wong" and Tamara Dobson was "Jones", but I guess my point still quite stands.

Too bad we didn't get Etsuko Shihomi as "Cleopatra Tanaka"; Helena Ramos as "Cleopatra da Silva"; and Katherine Victor as "Cleopatra Martinez." 1

Thanks for this one, there were a lot of fights packed into this movie. Ina Ryoko is another example of a different topic idea I've had for some time - "One Movie Wonder (Wonderess sp?)" is the work-in-progress name, as there are a lot of actresses who performed in 1-2 KungFu movies (sometimes in leading roles) and then were nowhere to be found. In this case, the Final fight could be better if Ina Ryoko character had been built a little bit more during earlier parts of the movie, I feel like they could have avoided at least one of the beatings to Taekwondo schools to make some room. You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it. It really is a fun movie that goes under the radar and it's real too bad you can't find her in other films

Member Whoishe Posted December 29, 2023 Author Member Share Posted December 29, 2023 (edited) Witty Hand, Witty Sword (1977) has Pearl Chang Ling fighting a female villain (I don't know who is the actress) at the end. Also, it's the rare example of the movie when the leading hero/heroine pretty much owns everyone and is barely scratched at the end. Also, her entrance and especially the end are the most confusing examples I ever watched in a Kung-Fu movie.
Member Whoishe Posted January 20 Author Member Share Posted January 20 Return of the Deadly Blade (1981) seems to have a villain woman fighting two guys at the end - I don't think it's Sharon Yeung, the other one listed as a top actress here is Flora Cheung, so it's probably her.
