0 Member ShawAngela Posted December 14, 2023 Member Share Posted December 14, 2023 Black and white movie ? The second picture seems familiar. Could it be possible that you can extract the Chinese title from the picture and post it here ? And the actors' names from pictures 4, 5 and 6 as well, please ? It's actually not black and white, just extremely faded. Old DVD with no label....not sure how to extract titles.

0 Member Drunken Monk Posted December 14, 2023 Member Share Posted December 14, 2023 (edited) A grainy little still from it... Oddly, there's no HKMDB entry for this one. Maybe it's a rarity? Edited December 14, 2023 by Drunken Monk

It's got some pretty unique fight choreography. It's a 1985 film but feels like a basher from 1975, just faster.

I might be able to do an auto-generated subtitle translation and fix some of the colors since the picture is quite faded on the version I have. Thanks. At least, I got the confirmation that it's a Mainland movie, and I got the synopsis from the site tv-sohu. Movie: Legend of the Lion Dancer1985 Alias: The legend of lion players Released: 1985 Region:Mainland Genre:Drama Director:Xing Jitian Starring:Yang Zhenguo/Wang Runshen/Wang Jue/Chen Xi Lion dancer Chen Jianhong killed the landowner Qi Menglong, avenged the murder of his wife and kidnapped his daughter, and regained the stolen ancestral lion jade pendant. He fostered his young son Huzai into the home of his junior brother, changed his name and wandered around the world. Twenty years of ups and downs have made the vicissitudes of Chen Jianhong's temples gray. He changed his name to Jiang Bonan and established a "Lion Awakening Martial Arts School" in a coastal city in Guangdong, which was famous within a hundred miles. Still thinking about his relatives, he sent his disciple Wang Haitao back to his hometown to find his two lost children. The grown-up tiger cub was named Huo Shilong. Under the care of his uncle, he developed strong martial arts. After his uncle died, he was determined to search for his father all over the world. At the "Yelai Inn", he ran into Tong Kun, a big drug trafficker, and the two sides started a fierce fight.
