Lum was quite naughty when she was a kid. Always getting her friend Ran into trouble - A warning! Hehe............... Lum switched places in her sleep................... Oh no! She was that's true but....................... Yeah blame Lum! Fess up Lum! .................................... WHAT!? Poor Ran. I've nearly finished the first season of Urusei Yatsura (2022) and while I found it hard to get into (first 3-5 eps), it does get much better later on. It's basically stories from the OG but with less introductions/background of a lot of characters which does make it all seem like it's going by really fast! The new animation style takes some getting used to but it's cool and colourful though I found the OG way more detailed. The voice acting is mostly intact but I prefer the OG voice of TEN (the new one is OK). These two seasons run for 46 eps (23 each) compared to the 1981 version which ran for 4 seasons of 194 eps (54/52/43/45). The above scene is still one of my favourites in both versions. New version below: Lum staying over at Ran's place and wets the bed (Blames Ran). Ran staying over at Lum's and Lum wets the bed (Again Ran gets blamed!). Even when Lum tries to protect Ran, she still fucks it up! Lum being a cheap-ass! Poor Ran.
Member laagi Posted September 13 Member Share Posted September 13 I finally watched the 'Animatrix'. Yeah again I'm only 20 years late but oh well. Really liked the approach to see different art styles and artists tell a short story. Speaking of which they are VERY short, like only 10 minutes but I found myself invested in them regardless. Only downside if I may say so is that overall the 9 episodes don't really add much to the Matrix universe. There's a tiny bit of information on how civilization became enslaved by machines but that's about it. Anyway, if you love Anime and the Matrix this comes highly recommended.

Member PandaPawPaw Posted Sunday at 12:13 PM Member Share Posted Sunday at 12:13 PM Uzumaki (Spiral) is getting an anime adaptation. "In the town of Kurouzu-cho, Kirie Goshima lives a fairly normal life with her family. As she walks to the train station one day to meet her boyfriend, Shuuichi Saito, she sees his father staring at a snail shell in an alley. Thinking nothing of it, she mentions the incident to Shuuichi, who says that his father has been acting weird lately. Shuuichi reveals his rising desire to leave the town with Kirie, saying that the town is infected with spirals. But his father's obsession with the shape soon proves deadly, beginning a chain of horrific and unexplainable events that causes the residents of Kurouzu-cho to spiral into madness." I remember enjoying the movie and this looks bat shit crazy so I'm down for it! Looking forward to this.
